Moors and Christians 2017

Coinciding with the first weekend after Easter, and therefore with the commemoration in the calendar of saints’ feast of Sant Vicent Ferrer. Agullent celebrates  Moors and Christians festival from 21th april to 25th april.

A mock battle is held to simulate the battles which took place between the Moors and the Christians during the Spanish Reconquest. The magnificient day of all the celebrations is “Entrada” (23th sunday). A parade that are a meeting point for the people from the village  as well as for many visitors .
